The Women's World Boxing Championships is a unique series of events, which will not only bring together the top Female Professional Boxers from around the Globe to compete to become the undisputed Champion of their division, but also where for the first time fans of Women's Boxing will be presented the opportunity to watch these World class athletes, the current Champions of their respective division as well as the rising stars of the sport, in action.

London, England was chosen to play host to the inaugural event for a number of reasons, the UK is the true home of Boxing, the London 2012 Olympics showcased Women's Amateur Boxing - with Nicola Adams sensationally winning the very first Women's Boxing Gold for Team GB - for the first time.

Another prime reason for the event to have it's debut in the United Kingdom is that whilst there are many Women Boxing in the Amateur ranks, there are only a handful that box professionally, many of whom have chosen to compete overseas or on foreign licenses due to the lack of opportunities in their home land.

As such it is envisaged that this event may act as a catalyst to encourage more of the excellent British Female Amateur Boxers to consider competing in the professional ranks, by creating the opportunities for those wishing to box in their home country to be able to do so, as well as provide an springboard for the exception domestic talents, so they can go forward and represent the United Kingdom on the World stage like their better known male counterparts.
